1. Click Register on the navigation bar.

2. Enter a user name, and click Is this name available? . Do not use spaces or the following characters: | * ' < > /.

3. Enter a password, and then enter it again to confirm it. The password strength meter helps you to create a secure password.

4. Select a security question and answer that you can use to retrieve a forgotten password.

5. Enter your e-mail address or mobile number, or both. This information is used to verify your registration. If you provide both an e-mail address and a mobile number, e-mail is considered your preferred method of communication.

6. Enter the spam protection code.

7. Read and accept the Ovi Service Terms and the Privacy Policy.

8. To complete your registration, click Continue .

9. If you entered your e-mail address during step 5, access your e-mail account, open the e-mail sent by Nokia account, and click the link to confirm your e-mail address. If you entered your mobile number, a text message with a confirmation link is sent to you. Select the link, and connect to the internet, when prompted, to complete the verification.

Alternately, you can sign in to Ovi right away, and verify your method of communication later, in your account details.

To start using your new account, sign in to Ovi.

You can also create a Nokia account using your mobile device.

1. Click Sign in on the navigation bar.

2. Enter your user name and password.

3. Click Sign in .

When you sign in to Ovi for the first time, you are asked to provide additional information about yourself. If you did not provide your mobile number or e-mail address during registration, enter this information, together with your first and last name, and click Continue to navigate to your Ovi home page.

You can also use Ovi on your mobile device.

If you have forgotten your password, click Forgotten your password? , and do the following:

1. Enter your user name, e-mail address, or mobile number, and click Continue .

2. Enter the correct answer to the security question, and click Continue .

3. Select the e-mail address or mobile number to which the details for resetting your password should be sent, and click Continue .

4. Open the e-mail or text message, and select the link provided in the message.

5. Create a new password, and click Continue .

6. Sign in to Ovi with your user name and new password.

Click Sign out on the navigation bar.
