About Ovi Maps
With the Ovi Maps internet service, you can browse locations from all over the world, plan trips, search for addresses and places of interest, and save them in your Nokia account.
To view the map in the 3D, satellite, terrain, or night mode, and see the 3D landmarks and traffic info, you need to install the Ovi Maps PC browser plug-in, available from the Ovi Maps homepage. To complete the installation, you must enter the required information when prompted.
To download the Ovi Maps PC browser plug-in, you need either of the following:

Microsoft Windows XP or Vista, with Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and later, or Mozilla Firefox 3 or later
If the Maps 3.0 application is installed in your compatible mobile device, and you are signed in to your Nokia account, you can synchronise locations, places of interest, collections, and routes between Ovi Maps and your mobile device.
Ovi Maps is free of charge. However, data transfer costs may apply if you establish an internet connection to synchronise your compatible mobile device with Ovi Maps. For information about data transmission charges, contact your network service provider.

To use Ovi Maps or create a Nokia account, go to www.maps.ovi.com.
For a complete Ovi Maps experience, download the Ovi Maps browser plug-in from the website, and install it on your compatible computer. Make sure you have a Nokia account and the administrative rights for your computer.

Select Register from the navigation bar.

Enter a user name, and select Is this name available?. Do not use spaces or the following characters: | * ' < > /.

Enter a password twice. The password strength metre shows if the password is secure enough.

Select your country of residence.

Enter your e-mail address or mobile number, or both. This information is used to verify your registration. If you provide both an e-mail address and a mobile number, e-mail is considered your preferred method of communication.

Enter the displayed characters of the security check code. If the characters are unclear, to display a different code, select Try a new picture.

Read and accept the Ovi service terms and the privacy policy.

Select Continue.

If you entered your e-mail address, access your e-mail account, open the e-mail sent by Nokia account, and select the link to confirm your e-mail address. If you entered your mobile number, a text message with a confirmation link is sent to you. Select the link, and when prompted, connect to the internet, to complete the verification.
