  • Is access to Ovi Store free of charge?

    Access to Ovi Store is free, however there may be data usage charges from your mobile operators while accessing the Store from a mobile device.

  • Can I get more detailed information about a content item on Ovi Store?

    Yes. Select the content item you would like more information about. The content detail screen will display additional images related to the content item, a brief item description, user rating, the files size, and other user’s comments/reviews. Additional details may be displayed depending on the type of content item. There will also be a related item area for other similar content.

    A Report Issue link will also be available for content. If the content falls outside of the Ovi Store Terms of Service, please feel free to report it.

  • How do I report inappropriate content?

    Ovi Store offers a large number of publisher generated content. It may be necessary to report inappropriate content that violates of the Ovi Store Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

    To report abuse, select the Report issue link found on the content details screen. There will be a choice of common violations or to enter one manually. A field for additional comments is available. Select Send Report to send the abuse report. User identities will be kept confidential.

    Ovi Store takes issues of Terms of Service or Community Guidelines abuse seriously. We will review the report and take appropriate actions based on our review.

  • Is Ovi Store available in different languages?

    Ovi Store is currently available in English, Spanish, German, Italian, Russian, and Chinese. Additional language support will be added soon.

  • How do I retrieve my Ovi store password?

    There is a link at the login stage which enables you to reset your password for the Ovi Store account. Make sure you have access to the email address associated with your account.

  • How do I navigate through Ovi Store?

    Navigating through the Ovi Store is easy and is designed to provide quick access to the content you desire the most. Upon initial login you will be presented with the Recommended. This is a list of all the content currently available through Ovi Store. Click on any content item to view more details. Navigate left or right to access the other content categories, including Games, Personalization, Applications, and Audio & Video.

    The Options button is available to the bottom right of the main content viewing window. Access this option at anytime to sort and filter the content currently displayed.

  • Can I browse through content within Ovi Store?

    Yes. A Browse pane is always available while viewing content. Once a category has been selected, all of the content relevant to that area is displayed to browse through. While viewing a main category, i.e. Audio & Video if you select the Options button there will be a Category entry. This will allow the viewing of Music, Videos, or Podcast individually.

    The Options button will also give you access to Suggested for me content designed specifically for your phone and allow you to browse channels of relevant content created by specific publishers.

  • Can I sort the content that is displayed in the Ovi Store?

    Yes. The sort options are available in all areas where content can be viewed. Select Options to bring up the sort methods. You can choose to sort content by Default, Most Popular, or Most Recent. You may also select what content is displayed by choosing Free Only, Paid Only, or All.

  • Within the Ovi Store, how do I search for content?

    A Search box is always located at the top of the main viewing window directly below the category selection. Select the box to enter your search term. Then select the Search button to begin your search. The search results can easily be filtered to display the Most Recent or Most Popular through the Options button at the bottom right of the display. You may also choose to view only Paid only, Free only content or All.

  • How do I download content from the Ovi Store?

    Downloading and accessing content is what Ovi Store is all about. Click on any content item to view the content details. The Download/Buy button is located directly below the item’s main image. Clicking the Download/Buy button will initiate the transfer of content from Ovi Store to your device.

    Note: Check with your wireless operator to determine if you may incur data usage charges while downloading.

  • How do I access something I have downloaded from Ovi Store?

    It depends on what you have downloaded and what device you have. Ovi Store serves as a source to access and download content, but is not the place where you use that content. The content you access on Ovi Store will make use of your device’s local capabilities for presentation. For example, audio downloaded from Ovi Store on a Nokia N95 will be played in the device’s Music Player. It will not be played within the Ovi Store browser or client.

    Applications downloaded from Ovi Store will be installed on the device according to the way the publisher has designed the application. i.e. for most S60 based devices, applications will be installed into the Application menu.

  • Can I rate the content I have accessed?

    Yes you can. Rating content will allow Ovi Store to make better suggestions to you and other members of the community in the future.

    To rate a content item you must have purchased it:

    1. Select My Stuff
    2. Select the content to open it.
    3. Select Write Review
    4. Select the star rating of your choice. You can also write a review for the content.
    5. Select Done

    Once an item has been rated, the rating will displayed if you return to view the content item details. Ratings can be changed at any time.

  • How do I share content with others?

    The Send to Friend option is available by viewing the content item details or by visiting the download history. Selecting the Send to Friend button will allow you to share a link to the content item with other Nokia users via a short text message.

    1. Select Share
    2. Enter the phone number. A brief message will be displayed containing a link to the item selected to share.
    3. Select Send and await confirmation.
  • Can I access Ovi Store on any mobile phone?

    Ovi Store offers you a number of ways of accessing an every changing library of engaging content. You can access the service through an internet browser or via an installed program on your mobile phone.

  • Which access point should I use to access Ovi Store on my device?

    Please select your full internet access point to access to access Ovi Store. You may experience difficulties if you select a WAP-only access point. Please check with your Operator for further details about access point settings on your device.

  • How do I find Ovi Store on my device?

    The Ovi Store application is typically located under the "Applications" menu on your phone. If you do not have the Ovi Store application, you may download it by visiting http://store.ovi.com from your mobile browser.

  • Is the same content available on all devices?

    Many of the content items available for download from Ovi Store may work on a wide range of devices, however some of the content is specifically designed to work only on designated device models or certain operating systems. Check the content details screen for more information regarding device compatibility.

  • Why does the content offering i can see look different on another device?

    Ovi Store looks at the device model, location information, download history and more to determine the content it feels may be most relevant to a users interests and what may be wanted. The same content may be available to other users, but will be displayed in a different area. The Search function can be used to Browse and Sort features to find content more easily.

  • How do I resolve a "Connection failed - CertificateException 14" error when I launch Ovi Store on my device?

    This error suggests that a required certificate is missing from your device. Follow these steps to download the missing certificate:

    1. Close the Ovi Store client
    2. Open your mobile browser and go to the following URL: http://contacts.ovi.com
    3. Select Save to download the certficicate to your device
    4. Lauch the Ovi Store client.
  • Is there a way to view the Ovi Store content on a PC or web site?

    Ovi Store is not limited to just your handset. Using your web browser on your computer, go to http://store.ovi.com and login with your account to ensure content for your specific phone is displayed.

  • What happens if I lose my Ovi Store downloads?

    You can re-download any free content by signing into Ovi Store and accessing My Stuff as long as the content is still available. If you have lost any purchased content items, please contact Nokia Care at https://www.ovi.com/services/support/care stating your Ovi username and the name of the content item you wish to re-download.

  • I downloaded an item from Ovi Store but received something else. What should I do?

    Please contact Nokia Care at https://www.ovi.com/services/support/care stating your Ovi username, the name of the content item that you purchased and the item that you actually received.

  • What should I do if I have been charged twice for the same Ovi Store download?

    Please contact Nokia Care at https://www.ovi.com/services/support/care stating your Ovi username, the name of the content item and the reason for the duplicate purchase.

  • What happens if I purchase a new device?

    You can re-download any free content by signing into Ovi Store and accessing My Stuff as long as the content is still available. If you have lost any purchased content items, please contact Nokia Care stating the name of the content item you wish to re-download. Note that your new device must be compatible with your previous downloads.

  • What if my new device is not compatible with my previously purchased downloads, can I get a refund or exchange for a similar piece of content?

    No, unfortunately the content you purchased for your previous device is intended only for that device or compatible devices as outlined by the publisher.

  • Can I download content from Ovi Store to my PC then transfer it to my device?

    No, Ovi Store does not support this. You can only download content over the air to your Nokia device.

  • How can I pay for Ovi Store downloads?

    When you go to purchase content in Ovi Store you are presented with the selection of available payment methods. Ovi Store supports payment by credit card or phone bill (through your network operator). The options you see will vary by region and network operator. Not all options are available in all regions. Please refer to the payment methods screen during your purchase for further details.

  • What happens if I lose my ovi store downloads?

    You can re-download any previously downloaded content by signing into Ovi Store and accessing "My Stuff" as long as the content is still available. From there you will see a list of previously downloaded items that you can have re-sent to your phone. If you are accessing Ovi Store from the mobile application, you must have the most current version of the client for this feature to appear.

  • What happens if I purchase a new device?

    You can re-download any previously downloaded content by signing into Ovi Store and accessing "My Stuff" as long as the content is still available. Please note that your new device must be compatible with your previous downloads. If you are accessing Ovi Store from the mobile application, you must have the most current version of the client for this feature to appear.
